Fun Events in May

Dull is a word that doesn’t exist in San Francisco’s vocabulary. The City by the Bay always has something going on whether it’s street festivals, art shows, concerts… you name it, San Francisco has it.

Now that the weather is warmer and the days are a little brighter, the City is hosting multiple outdoor events for San Franciscans to enjoy.

Here are our “best bets” for San Francisco this May.

May 7 | Cinco de Mayo
The grand festival showcases the very best of Mexican and Latin American cultures through a diverse array of food, music, dance, and artistry. May 9-15 | SF Made Week
Learn all about San Francisco’s vibrant manufacturing sector though this week-long event that includes factory tours, parties, pop-up shops and sales and various classes. More info: sfmade.org

May 12 | Taste of Potrero
Enjoy a celebration of food and drinks featuring some of San Francisco’s best restaurants and bars benefiting public education. A ticket to this event gets you access to an open bar and unlimited small bites to sip and nibble all night long. More info: tasteofpotrero.com

May 14 | Art Museum Opening
Be among the first to see the $350 million expansion of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), which offers nearly three times the previous exhibition space. More info: sfmoma.org

May 21 | San Francisco International Beer Festival
Founded in 1984, the San Francisco International Beer Festival provides beer enthusiasts with hundreds of craft beers by local, national and international brewing companies.
